Here’s the thing.

The intent of the Money Guide Challenge is to recognize North Central WA educators who obtain professional development in youth personal finance education. To this end, Consumer Jungle is partnering with Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF) and other high quality professional development providers to award educators who attain 10 hours or more of quality youth personal finance professional development.

During the previous two school years, North Central Washington educators acquired over 250 professional development hours in NGPF Academy and Consumer Jungle gave over $3,500 in cash and prizes to recognize their academic achievements in youth financial education.

Help us give away even more money this year.

Starting June 1, 2023, the first 100 eligible NCESD 171 teachers to earn “Freshperson” status in NGPF Academy (ten hours of PD) will receive a $100 cash incentive from Consumer Jungle.  The same offer applies to the first 100 teachers that reach Sophomore, Junior and Senior status in NGPF Academy.  That’s up to $400 in cash from Consumer Jungle.  In addition, the Top 10 teachers at the end of the school year, at senior level (at least 40 hours of training), will receive a $500 gift certificate from their choice of the following resorts: Campbells, Cave B, Davenport, Sun Mountain Lodge, or Post Hotel.  

Note: NGPF refreshes PD hours annually. To align with the academic year the NGPF Academy runs July 1 - June 30.

**Consumer Jungle distributes cash incentives quarterly to eligible teachers.

Eligibility

  • Middle or high school educators who are currently serving students and providing lessons focused on personal finance within ESD 171 (North Central Education Services District, Washington State).

  • Teachers must agree to have their identity shared with Consumer Jungle in order to receive incentives.  NGPF will ask ESD 171 teachers for permission to share contact information with Consumer Jungle.

  • Offer covers the one-year period between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.

  • If you meet these eligibility requirements but would like to acquire professional development from a different provider (other than NGPF), please reach out. We will work with you to find a solution.
